Reported by: Patrick Schurr Friday, Oct 23, 2009 @11:18am EDT WARREN, WARREN CO.-- A Pennsylvania-based retailer just expanded a voluntary recall for thousands of women's full-length chenille robes.
The product is highly-flammable and has now been linked to 9 deaths. The robes were sold at Blair Stores in Warren and Grove City, about three-hours north of Altoona, in catalogs, and on-line. Women's chenille jackets, lounge jackets, and tops have also been recalled. Most victims caught fire while cooking as they wore the Pakistani-made items.
