FORT HOOD, TEXAS - PFC Kylie Bollman is an Altoona graduate.  She said she called her grandmother when everything happened to tell her she was safe so nobody back home worried about her.  She said Friday a lot of her fellow soldiers are having a hard time functioning.

"You can tell its bothering them.  You can tell people want to have break downs.  You can tell people don't want to be at work," she said.

Bollman is leaving the 340 square mile installation to spend between 1 and 2 years in Korea.  She said she never thought her life would be in danger on a military base of all places.

"I can't even explain it.  I dont even know the words to use.  You would never think of this happening were on fort hood were supposed to be in our safe zone.  Were in our own country."
