Reported by: Charlotte Ames Thursday, Nov 5, 2009 @05:36pm EST Clearfield Hospital and the Clearfield Area School District are joining forces to hold a swine flu vaccination clinic on Saturday November 7th at the Clearfield Middle School. The clinic will take place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the school gymnasium. It's for district students from kindergarten up through 12th grade, as well as pupils from two area religious schools. School staff under 25 years old, those over 25 with chronic medical conditions, school nursing staff will also be able to receive the H1N1 vaccine. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to receive the shot.
The clinic will be staffed entirely with volunteers from the hospital and the schools. Fire police will also be on hand to direct traffic. Children are being asked to come for the shots in alphabetical order, according to their last names. Clearfield Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. Gregory Sheffo says officials hope to hold a vaccine clinic for another Clearfield County school district in the near future.
