Chicken Shitake and Tri Colored Peppers and Onions Chef John McCracken of DelGrosso Foods, the oldest, family-owned producers of pasta sauce in the U.S., created this special family recipe to help busy families get a hearty, delicious dinner on the table in about 30 minutes. Dig in family! Chicken Shitake Sit-Down Family Feast This hearty, flavorful family meal is easy to prepare and takes about 30 minutes from stove top to table. Ingredients:
Cooking Directions: · Season the chicken with salt, pepper and granulated garlic. · In a medium skillet add half of the olive oil and heat. · Add the shitake mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes. Place mushrooms in a bowl. · Add remaining olive oil to the skillet over medium heat. Sauté chicken breasts until lightly brown. Turn them over and cook for 3 minutes. · Add Shitake mushrooms to the skillet along with any liquid from the mushrooms. · Add La Famiglia DelGrosso Chef John’s Tomato Basil Masterpiece pasta sauce and chicken stock. · Cook very slowly until the chicken is fully cooked, about 15 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside. · When chicken cools, use a fork to shred the chicken. Add the chicken back into the skillet and mix with the sauce. · Cook your favorite pasta (rigatoni, penne or shells) according to package directions and drain. Add the pasta to the sauce and mix well. · Sprinkle Romano cheese on dish and serve hot. Buon Appetito! Ingredients: 1 red pepper 1 orange pepper 1 yellow pepper 15-20 pearl onions 2 Tbsp olive oil 1 Tbsp butter 1 clove of garlic Montreal Steak Seasoning (about 2 tsp.) Cooking directions: · Wash and clean peppers and cut into thin strips. · Peel and wash pearl onions. · Heat olive oil and butter on medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 2 minutes. · Add pepper strips and pearl onions to the pan and season with Montreal Steak Seasoning. · Sauté until peppers are soft (10-15 minutes). Serve and enjoy. Recipe
