On Thursday, September 24, 2009, the students in Miss Brown's first grade class at Moshannon Valley Elementary School celebrated Apple Day.  In honor of Johnny Appleseed's September 26th birthday, students had a taste test of apples, applesauce, and apple juice.  Students have spent the month of September learning about Johnny Appleseed and how apples grow, and this taste test was a conclusion to their science unit.
