There is some new life coming to the former Rolling Rock Brewery in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. It was announced that the Iron City Brewing Company will be moving into the plant that has been idle for the last several months. Production of Rolling Rock Beer stopped in two thousand and four when that brand was sold to Anheuser-Bush. The plant was used to produce Sam Adams Beer for a couple of years but that operation moved to Allentown last year. Current plans call for Iron City to move into the Latrobe plant in July. ...................................... There's a new place to grab and sandwich or quick meal in Ebensburg. A branch of Em's Original Sub Shop has opened its doors at 204 West High Street. The new restaurant is open seven days a week. It features a wide variety of sandwiches along with soups, deserts and breakfast foods. There are currently four other Em's Sub Shops in Cambria and Somerset counties. .................................. Logan Townships leaders are celebrating the opening of their new six million dollar municipal complex. A special ceremony was held Thursday Afternoon marking the occasion. And public tours of the new facility were offered to area residents. The new office complex is located at 100 Chief Logan Circle which can be reached by 26th Street from Pleasant Valley Boulevard. ................................. And one of the largest drug store chains in the county has a new location in Centre County. A Rite Aid store opened in Bellfonte on Thursday. The new pharmacy is located on Bishop Street across from the Bellfonte High School. The new store replaces a much smaller store a short distance away. |
