Brooke Meadows joined the
WTAJ team in 1999 as a videographer and worked her way to a reporter by the
time she left in 2003. Then Brooke
took on a new full-time job as a stay at home mom with her son Landon. He is now five years old,
and it a full-time kindergarten student who loves school.
Brooke and her husband David
also have a daughter Nina who just turned two.
Brooke is also now working
as an at home legal transcriptionist.
She says it is a good job that helps with bills, and she makes her own
hours so she can still focus on her primary job as a stay at home mom.
Central
Pennsylvania
is home for Brooke and her husband David.
She says being near both their families is a great support system for
raising children. Brooke and David say
they love the area so much, they plan on making deep roots in their community.
"We bought this house
which was the home of David's grandparents. They lived here for 63 years and I
love to tell people we are trying to break that record. We have no plans of going anywhere else. We
feel comfortable and happy in this area."
Brooke says her training as
a reporter did give her a little training for being a mom. She says as a reporter you never knew what
you would be covering and you never knew what to expect. She says life with a two and five year old is
similar. Every day is a new adventure. But it is an adventure Brooke says she
wouldn't trade for the world.
