  • Jennifer Goodwin

Jennifer Goodwin worked at WTAJ for 9 years, beginning in 1998 as a general assignment reporter.  She then became a weekend anchor.  After WTAJ News, she pursued a career in Marketing.  She works as a marketing and sales associate, promoting tourism and special events for the Allegheny Mountains Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Jen said that it was an easy transition because she promotes places, activities and businesses she already knew about through reporting. When you are a reporter you learn so many things about so many different businesses and industries and companies here in the area that helped me coming here,” said Jen.

In her personal life, Jen got married and started a family.  She is now known as Mom to her two year old son, Maverick, and Jen Fleck professionally.  Jen has lived in Central Pennsylvania her whole life, and she has never wanted to leave the area.  She and her husband Jim both grew up in Central PA.  Both said they wanted to raise a family in the same area they grew up.

Jen still works with her old videographer, Trish Gates.  Trish is the video coordinator at the Visitors Bureau, so the two can still work together, telling stories about our region.

Jen says she misses the people of WTAJ the most.  “I feel very lucky to work with such a great group of people during my time there.”  She also says that maybe one day Maverick could follow in her footsteps.  He is fun coming up with his own stories to tell…some are true and some are imagined...but all are pretty good.”
