More plans move forward for a wind farm in Blair County.

Logan Township Supervisors met with Gamesa officials to talk about regulations on wind turbines. Reps from Gamesa want to build a wind farm in Logan Township.

They haven't decided where to put it, but one suggestion is along the Chestnut Flats area near Horseshoe Curve. At least one person who lives nearby says the wind turbines are not welcome.

Connie Wilt owns over 100 acres of land along Vaughn Farm Road in Logan Township. Her family has owned the land for 110 years. She says: "I love it. I love it. It's quiet, it's peaceful. I love it. But I just don't want wind mills".

Wilt went to a Logan Township Supervisors meeting to voice her concerns. A plan to build a wind farm in Logan Township has been in the works for two years.

At this meeting, township supervisors voted to adopt an ordinance to regulate the wind farm. The supervisors agreed that the wind turbines have to be 2500 feet away from any property that has a home on it. Supervisors also voted that the noise couldn't be greater than 45 decibels.

Tim Vought of Gamesa says officials haven't yet figured out where the wind farm will go, but the Chestnut Flats is still a possibility.

Wilt says that's something she just can't accept: "And it's quiet and it's peaceful and it's not going to be, it's not going to be at all".
