Tessa joined WTAJ-TV in June 2008 as a General Assignment Reporter.Originally from Bridgeport, West Virginia, Tessa is happy to be working so close to her family and friends, but is excited to meet the wonderful people of Central Pennsylvania. Tessa is a 2008 graduate from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science. During her time at Syracuse she served as the news director, anchor, and executive producer of the student television station, CitrusTV. Some of her most exciting interviews include CNN's Soledad O'Brien and Reverend Jesse Jackson. Before coming to WTAJ Tessa also interned at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh and WDTV-TV in Bridgeport, WV. In her free time, Tessa enjoys reading, working out, meeting new people, spending time with her family and friends, and watching sports...especially football. On the weekends you can find her cheering on the West Virginia Mountaineers, the Syracuse Orange, and the Steelers, but she is learning to become a Penn State fan!
