When Brian started working towards a meteorology degree, he never expected to pursue a career in broadcasting. However, he quickly learned that television was a great way to communicate and teach people about the weather. He first arrived at WTAJ in May 2007 as an intern and then joined the Stormtracker Weather Team later that year in October. Brian works as the weekend meteorologist for WTAJ News at 6 & 11 and also works on wearecentralpa.com.Brian graduated from Penn State University in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. While at Penn State, he was actively involved in the department's Campus Weather Service, providing forecasts for radio stations. He also worked as a producer and director for Weather World -- a live, 15 minute weather show that airs statewide every weeknight. Brian grew up near Scranton in Northeastern Pennsylvania, but now calls State College home and enjoys meeting the people of Central PA. While growing up in the mountains of Northeast PA, he developed a passion for forecasting winter weather and still enjoys the cold, snowy days of winter and the challenges of forecasting them. When not forecasting the weather, he enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends and watching Penn State and Seattle Seahawks football.
