Beer sales are brewing for more Western Pennsylvania Giant Eagles.

The state Liquor Control Board voted unanimously this week to approve liquor licenses for five suburban Pittsburgh grocery stores.  Giant Eagle expects to start offering six-packs in stores in Homestead, Monroeville, Pine, West Mifflin and West View starting December 18th.

In order to offer beer, the stores must feature a separate, restaurant-like space with seating and special check-out lines.
