CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - The fingertip amputation of 12 children has led Maclaren USA Incorporated to recall about one million strollers sold in the U.S. over the last decade.
Maclaren announced a voluntary recall with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission after the company received reports that 15 children injured their fingers by placing them in the stroller's hinge mechanism.
The recall affects all Maclaren single and double umbrella strollers sold in the U.S. since 1999.
The well-known strollers were sold at stores including Babies "R" Us and Target.
