PITTSBURGH - "Sports Illustrated" the magazine named Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver Hines Ward the dirtiest player in the NFL.
The sports magazine surveyed nearly 200 fellow football players, and Hines Ward was named the dirtiest player. Last season the 33 year-old was fine $15,000 for bad hits, and last October, he broke Cincinnati Bengal linebacker Keith Rivers' jaw.
Dolphins linebacker, and former Pittsburgh Steeler, Joey Porter came in just behind Ward along with Washington Redskin defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.
The Steelers play the Broncos in Denver on Monday night. -
