MILLERSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA -- Pennsylvania residents may have to get creative this Halloween and Thanksgiving season because July's heavy rain has led to a pumpkin shortage.
In fact, there is a pumpkin shortage on the entire East Coast this year. In addition to presenting a problem in finding the perfect pumpkin, the shortage has bumped up the price for that perfect pumpkin. Some grocery stores are also reporting a shortage in pumpkin-pie filling.
