Angie Koehle joined WTAJ News in June 2009. It's a homecoming for the Pennsylvania native. Not only did she spend 5 years working in the region, Angie is from Jefferson County. She is a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Communications and minored in Business Administration.
Angie has worked as a writer, reporter and anchor at television stations across the state. She came to Altoona from Harrisburg. While there, she had a front row seat for the announcement of the first round of Bonusgate indictments and she reported on the extradition of a suspected serial killer. Before her stint in Harrisburg, she was an anchor and reporter for the local Abc and Fox stations.
Angie was a news writer and assignment desk assistant at WTAE in Pittsburgh before becoming a reporter. She also served as a spokesperson for a modeling school, giving lectures to high school students about self-esteem and dressing for success. She interned at KDKA in Pittsburgh while she was in her senior year of college.
Angie is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association. Now that she's back in the area, she looks forward to wings at Al's Tavern, sushi at Sakura Japan and hopping on the motorcycle to get there. She and her husband have two dogs, Meadow and Caesar, that occupy their free time.
