    Former Military Intelligence Officer Under Dick Cheney and Norman Schwarzkopf to be featured Veterans Day Speaker

    Retired Lt. Gen. Ed Soyster, will speak at the Veterans Day tribute sponsored by the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center at 2 p.m. at the Ramada Inn on Veterans Day, November 11, 2009. Soyster retired as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and advisor to former secretaries of defense, Dick Cheney and Norman Schwarzkopf. He is a native of Altoona and was appointed to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point by the late Congressman James E. Van Zandt. The event is free and open to the public.
