(Altoona, PA) - The Curve dropped their fourth straight game Wednesday night falling to the Akron Aeros (AA-Cleveland Indians) 9-6 in the middle game of three at Blair County Ballpark. Miles Durham singled in Jonel Pacheco to finish off a two run first inning for Altoona. Akron would respond with three runs in the third on five hits with Carlos Santana, Josh Rodriguez, and Lonnie Chisenhall driving home runs. The Curve answered back in the fourth inning with two runs as CF Gorkys Hernandez singled home the go-ahead run to give Altoona a 4-3 advantage. Curve starter Mike Crotta tossed 5.2 innings allowing four runs on eight hits with four strikeouts. Jared Hughes (1-6) was saddled with his sixth loss of the season after allowing two runs on three hits in 0.2 innings of work. |
