The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced that a prospect-laden group will make up the Altoona Curve’s
24-man roster to begin the 2009 season, featuring
a plethora of youthful talent.
You can buy a ticket to see the curve play for as little as $5. There's not a bad seat in the Blair County Ballpark, and it's great entertainment for families of all kinds.
The Curve lost, 6-2, but recorded its first win hours later with a 6-4 decision in game two of the April 10 twinbill. The Curve christened Blair County Ballpark on April 15 with a triumph over the Bowie Baysox in front of 6,171 fans.
Opened on April 15, 1999, Blair County Ballpark is widely considered by
fans, players, baseball executives and media as one of the finest minor
